Construction law
In the context of construction projects, the initial contracts are concluded long before the ground-breaking ceremony. We explicitly recommend that you obtain legal advice in advance. A plot of land has to be thoroughly evaluated –not only in legal and economic respects. The result of such an evaluation is the basis for the property developer’s further planning. Depending on the nature and scale of the project, contracts with project developers and other planners are to follow.
Even during the construction phase, many technical and legal questions arise for the parties involved, especially where major building projects are concerned. We provide guidance throughout the project in order to develop practical solutions for these issues. Our assistance is manifold: First of all, we can claim performance as owed by contract and thus create the formal requirements for the appropriate legal consequences. Subsequently, we represent your company in defending itself against unjustified supplemental claims or in enforcing legitimate supplemental claims (claims management). Of course, we also advise you with regard to formal approval of the building and on warranty issues.
We assist your company as a bidder or principal at all stages of the awarding procedure, especially in drafting the call for bids and the application. In this respect please refer to our explanations in the chapter “Corporate”.
