LOSCHELDER has successfully advised the joint venture of Art-Invest Real Estate and OSMAB Holding on the sale of the MOXY hotel in the I/D Cologne urban development in Cologne. The buyer is STRABAG Hold Estate.
The 222-room hotel under the brand MOXY was inaugurated in 2022 as a key component in revitalizing the I/D Cologne urban development. This lifestyle hotel, part of the Marriott group, has a 20-year lease with the operator Chocolate on the Pillow Group. The MOXY hotel is part of the I/D Cologne urban development, which was created on the site of the former freight railway station in the Schanzenviertel. It consists of thirteen buildings with a total area of around 160,000 square meters of gross floor area (GFA). The BREEAM "very good" certification for the building and the EU Taxonomy compliance of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) are expected soon.
The purchase price has been kept confidential.
