Copyright and media law

We advise the authors and originators of creative achievements on the exploitation of copyrighted works. Our clients include writers, artists and performing artists, photographers, advertising agencies and their commercial partners such as publishing houses, production companies and broadcasting enterprises. In addition, we have particular expertise in protecting databases against the misappropriation of elements contained therein and other forms of abusive access.

To this end we draft and negotiate contracts for the grant and transfer of rights of use under copyright law. If your rights should be infringed, for instance by plagiarism or a breach of licensing agreements, we enforce your interests in and out of court, including by seizure at the border. We support and assist you in pursuing, and defending yourself against cease and desist claims and claims for damages and also provide comprehensive advice on all issues of media-related title and trademark protection.
