Press law and right of free speech

Freedom of the press and freedom of opinion are important rights that need to be protected. This also applies to the protection of the privacy rights of individual persons or groups.

In this sensitive area we advise publishing houses and other media enterprises in particular prior to any planned publications and we also verify statements other enterprises intend to make to the public. If claims are asserted against you for alleged impermissible statements, we take on your defence, in and out of court, against all claims relating to the right of free speech – cease and desist, damages, correction, compensation and counter-statement.

If someone reports on your company in an impermissible way, we will defend your rights expeditiously and efficiently. We will seek, to the extent possible, to prevent such incorrect reporting by obtaining a preliminary injunction before the report is disseminated by the media (TV, print, Internet).
In addition, we also assist you in your communication with the media if your company threatens to be drawn into the public focus by negative headlines.
