Loschelder Doctoral Scholarship 2026
LOSCHELDER has now awarded its doctoral scholarship for the 28th time. With the goal of contributing to the connection between academia and practice, the law firm supports dissertation projects of qualified young legal scholars (m/f/d) with two scholarships each year.
The recipient of the 28th Loschelder Doctoral Scholarship is Ms. Sofia Schulz, who is preparing a dissertation on the topic “Leniency Program at the Crossroads between Cartel Detection and Damages – Analysis and Need for Reform” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kersting LL.M. (Yale). Prof. Dr. Christian Kersting LL.M. (Yale) holds the Chair of Civil Law as well as German and International Corporate, Business, and Antitrust Law at HHU Düsseldorf.
Ms. Schulz receives funding of 2,000 euros per month, as well as a workspace at the law firm, whose facilities (such as legal databases and libraries) she can use for the preparation of her dissertation. In addition, she is involved one day per week in the work of the Restructuring & Insolvency Law practice group, thereby gaining practical insights into legal work.
Ms. Schulz is supervised during this time by our attorney Dr. Simon Kohm, who advises on IT data protection law, antitrust law, and public procurement law.
Applications for the 29th Loschelder Doctoral Scholarship (Winter Semester 2025) can be submitted until October 31, 2026. Further information is available here.
