LOSCHELDER has advised The Wallfashion House on the acquisition of a majority stake in the Rasch Group.
Founded in 1861 and now in its 5th generation of family management, the Rasch Group is one of the world's largest manufacturers of wallpapers. The comprehensive product portfolio ranges from wallpapers to ready-made curtains as well as decorative textiles, offering highest quality and sophisticated designs. The Rasch Group comprises three production sites in Germany and eight sales offices worldwide, exporting its products to 65 countries worldwide, and is headquartered in Bramsche (Germany). In total, the Rasch Group employs around 550 people.
The Belgian holding company The Wallfashion House is a leading group of European designers and manufacturers of wall decoration products, which includes the Belgian wallpaper manufacturer Grandeco, the British design editor Holden and the Dutch manufacturer of 3D panels WALL!SUPPLY. The group is financed by private equity investors Down2Earth Capital and Gimv. Through the acquisition of the Rasch Group, The Wallfashion House is growing in the wallpaper manufacturing segment, thereby strengthening its own output volume and geographical market presence. The Rasch family will retain a significant stake in the Rasch Group in order to ensure the Group's continuity. The Rasch Group will continue to be led by the existing management.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
