LOSCHELDER has advised Atlas Copco on the acquisition of Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH
Pumpenfabrik Wangen manufactures and distributes progressive cavity pumps used for transferring fluids mainly in the biogas and wastewater sectors. The company also manufactures twin-screw pumps used in sectors like food and beverage and cosmetics. The company is based in Wangen im Allgäu, Germany, and employs 265 people. In 2020, the company achieved revenues of approximately EUR 46.4m.
Atlas Copco is a leading international provider of sustainable industrial productivity solutions. The group is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and has a global reach spanning more than 180 countries. In 2020, Atlas Copco generated sales of EUR 10 billion with approximately 40,000 employees. The company will become part of the Power and Flow division within Atlas Copco’s Power Technique Business Area.
The acquisition is expected to be completed during the second quarter 2022 and is subject to regulatory approvals.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
