LOSCHELDER Advises Atlas Copco on Acquisition of Kracht GmbH
LOSCHELDER has advised Atlas Copco on the acquisition of Kracht GmbH.
Kracht GmbH develops, designs and manufactures high-quality products including external gear pumps, fluid measurement technologies, valves, hydraulic drives and dosing systems. The company was founded in 1911, is based in Werdohl, Germany, has subsidiaries in China, USA and Hungary and employs approx. 440 people.
Atlas Copco is a leading international provider of sustainable industrial productivity solutions. The group is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, and has a global presence in more than 180 countries. In 2022, Atlas Copco generated sales of about EUR 12 billion (141 BSEK) with approx. 49,000 employees. Kracht GmbH will become part of the Power and Flow Division within the Power Technique business area. With this acquisition, Atlas Copco complements its industrial pumps portfolio, which already includes the previously acquired industrial pumps manufacturers LEWA and Wangen.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024.
