Loschelder advises Horn & Co. Group on SE conversion
Loschelder has advised Horn & Co. Group on the merger of various companies and divisions under the umbrella of a new holding company, Horn & Co. Holding SE.
The family business with a history of almost 100 years thereby became the first company in Siegen to be organised in the legal form of a European Company (SE - Societas Europaea). Horn & Co. Group employs around 500 people throughout Europe. As a functioning network comprising the four business divisions Industrial Services, Minerals Recovery, Products and Analytics, the Group pursues the objective of realising a closed materials cycle within the framework of raw materials recycling, and of operating as a reliable service provider for ancillary processes in industry.
Restructuring was carried out in response to structural adjustment needs of the company, which were due to rapid growth in recent years. At the same time, a sustainable succession solution was implemented. As a result, long-term stability at an internationally oriented level is achieved for shareholders, employees and customers.
The Loschelder team consisted of Dr. Martin Empt (corporate law / lead), Dr. Marcel Kleemann (corporate law) and Dr. Stefan Freh (labour law).
