Loschelder Rechtsanwälte advises Aalberts Industries N.V. on Investment in Galvanotechnik Baum GmbH
Loschelder Rechtsanwälte advised the Dutch market listed company Aalberts Industries N.V. on the acquisition of 90 per cent of the shares of Galvanotechnik Baum GmbH by its German affiliate GMT Technologies GmbH. After approval of the German Federal Cartel Authority, the closing has been executed by end October 2011. Amongst other fields of business, Aalberts Industries N.V. is operating in surface technology. With the acquisition, Aalberts Industries N.V. strengthens its leading position in the market and lays the basis for further grow of its activities in surface technologies in Eastern Europe.
Galvanotechnik Baum GmbH was founded in 1971 and is specialised in high-quality surface coating. The annual business volume runs up to 21 million Euros. 257 employees are working at two locations - in Zwönitz, Saxony and St. Georgen, Baden-Württemberg. A member of the former owner family, Mr. Nikolai Baum, is still tied to the company as minority shareholder and managing director.
